• Quality controls at lehr exit
  
  Informing Hot End operators immediately of Cold End sampling results assists considerably in glassmaking process.
  In the Perfume Industry as in the Tableware industry, quality controls at lehr exit are essential feed back from the Cold End to the Hot End.
  
  Once the controls made on the sampled articles, the operator records in SILC at the same time the detected defects and the molds involved.
  
  This information can be entered as time goes by or at a fixed frequency corresponding to statistical sampling.
  
  SILC displays the results of the last setout:
  
   A window representing the IS machine is instantaneously displayed at Hot End.
  A colour code related to criticity enables the operator to assess at a glance the quality level of the production.
  
   You can consult sampling data:
      -  on different time basises
      -  by Admitted Quality Level
      -  by mould and for all moulds together
      
   You can compare the results of HE controls, lehr exit controls and pallet audit.
  
  This SILC functionality is another step towards "zero paper" in the glass plant.
  
  
  
  

  TECHNO

  
  Many dimensional controls, in the laboratories, are performed with manual devices such as MITUTOYO, a world leader on this market.
  
  The SIL system communicates with many of them:
  
   any "Digimatic" device (caliper ...) can be connected to SILQual through a multiplexor DMX-8 (allowing to transfer data on RS232 cable)
  the Crysta Apex machine that makes 3 dimensional measurements (communication with Ethernet)
