Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)
The OEE is a key concept for the
management of production.
The TPM (Total Productive
Maintenance), one of the possible calculations of OEE, is
now a new function added to SILC.
SILC allows you to know output and losses on lines in real time.
The TPM offers a finer analysis of the state
of production: the losses are
automatically detected and the Operator justifies the reason, with 3
possible levels of details.
When it is connected to SILAcq, the TPM can detect breakdowns or alarms
coming from the equipment such as stackers, coating, lehr...
You can watch equipment breakdown history
with justification for every anomaly on SILC screen.
TECHNO
The SIL communicates with several devices for glass thickness measurement.
In the laboratory, MagnaMike
8500 and MBT7400
from AGR, for instance, can be connected to the SIL.
On line, one of the most common equipment is OLT machine from
AGR.
The SIL can get inputs for inspected and rejected items on the 4
different channels.
For the OLT machines equipped with WTSI option, or for HSOLT,
measurements are sent with RS422 cable.
VMA
optical captors mounted on
M SGCC machines, or IM
Veritas, send
thickness measurements in real time for each mould, enabling the SIL to
display the glass distribution directly on SIL HE screens.
The same possibility is proposed with MSC thickness captors.

What's new ?
 In
September 2009, Vertech' equipped its first Ukrainian plant in
Zorya.
The
SIL system has already been installed in Russia, Bulgaria and Romania.
With the Ukrainian plant, Vertech' strengthens its position within
Eastern countries.
The installation of the SIL system in Zorya went perfectly
well,
and was made in the best possible conditions, thanks to the excellent
welcome granted to the system by our Client.
The SIL was installed in Russian for the operators and in English for
the managers of the plant.

Eric
Lafon is our Sales Ingineer dedicated to
Germany,
Eastern countries, Spain and to some of our French customers.
With a technical background, Eric has been working for Vertech'
since 2003 - at the SILQual Department in the first place, and at
the
Sales Department for three years.
Eric takes care of his clients' projects, of sales offers, of
prospection on new markets, and he often represents Vertech' on
National and International Trade Fairs.
He also answers requests for monitoring and traceability on other
activity sectors, as laboratories, industrial groups, ...
